The Competition ‘In Harmony with Nature

The competition is timed for the International Earth Day. This day was called for joining people of whole Earth to protect the environment. The world action the Earth Day started in USA on 22 April 1970. By tradition, on this day all willing take part in improvement and planting of greenery of their yards and streets, different ecological events.
The competition will be held on 1-22 April 2010 with organization and information support of the Ecological Publishing Company ‘Chinor’ and the ecological resource center ‘Ekomaktab’ of Tashkent.
Everyone at the age from 10 to 16 may take part in the competition. The deadline for accepting creative works is 15 April 2010.
Submission of the creative works, reflecting beauty of nature and harmonious relations of people and nature, ensures eligibility for participation in this competition:
Essay on the topic: ‘How to Live in Harmony with Nature’;
Painting ‘My Green World’.
Requirements to the essay formulation:
The works may be computer-printed (volume should not exceed three pages of A4 format, type 14 Times New Roman) or legibly hand written
Paintings may be of different formats and artistic styles.
Assessment criteria of the work:
Disclosure of the topic,
Artistic value of presented works, original sight.
Presented creative work should be attached with personal information:
Name, surname and fathers’ name of the author, name of the work and its category, educational institution of the participant (form or course), contact information (telephone number, personal e-mail address of the participant).
The works will be accepted till 15 April 2010 in the Ecological Publishing House ‘Chinor ENK’ at the address:
The winners of the competition will be awarded with diplomas and prizes.
The participants who will be reckoned among leaders, but will not take medal place, will be awarded with special diplomas.
Celebration in honor of winners and summarizing the outcomes of the competition will be held on 22 April- the International Earth Day, in Tashkent, at the Park of Peace – Seattle, located at the territory of the Park of Culture and Rest named after Z.M.Babur.
